When was the Frog Bra first produced?
To start with, the parent company of Frog Bra – Title Nine was founded in the year 1989. That is about 34 years ago. If the company started the production of the Frog Bra as immediately it started then the answer would have been 1989, but we can’t conclude with that.
Going through some customer reviews gives us a clue.

I have had Frog Bras for 20+ years! When they discontinued, I took really good care of my existing Frog Bras and prayed they would last forever. During those 20 years…

From all indications, the Frog Bra was available as early as the year 2000.
is it likely that Title Nine was not selling the Frog Bras through a website, they probably sold them in malls and local stores.
The earliest record of the domain ‘titlenine.com’ shows that as of March 27, 2003, the domain was registered but the company’s website was not sitting on it.
A history of their domain name shows that the website was not sitting on it all through the year 2003 till April 2005 when the earliest version of the site was seen sitting on the domain as shown in the screenshot below.
As at then, the Frog bra was not listed on their site.
Somewhere along the line between the year 2000 and 2015 the Frog Bra was discontinued.
It was certainly not available in 2012
A user was seen making a request for the Frog bra to come back.
Restoration in 2015
In October 2015, the Frog bra was available in the Title Nine store for sale.
A Screenshot from October 31st, 2015 shows this.
It was listed on the site for the price of $39.
The product description reads:
We trekked all over, searched lily pads near and far and finally, we can say those five magic words: the Frog Bra is BACK. Our cult classic pullover bra got the highest rating from our largest breasted testers, and these women have tried every bra. Most bras are made of knitted fabrics that give, not control. But our bra is made of a stretch woven fabric, plus a whopping 32% Lycra. Whew!!! As one of our testers said, “It’s almost like not having breasts at all. Well almost.” Warning: major masher bra. 45% cotton, 32% Lycra, 23% nylon. Only @ T9. S(32D-34BC), M(34D-36BC), L(36D-38CD), XL(38D-40CD).

the frog bra was still available.
A check through the dated site in 2018 shows it was no longer on their catalogue, it was probably available in some places.
Restored in 2019
in 2019, it came back again.
Disontinued in 2020
In 2020, it was gone again, and it has not come back ever since then.
So, how do Frog Bras compare to other sports bras? According to user reviews, they are a significant improvement! Many women have reported feeling much more supported and comfortable in a Frog Bra than in other sports bras they have tried. They also appreciate the stylish design and the fact that they can wear them as regular bras.
Will the Frog Bra be coming back?
A merchant response from a staff of Title Nine to one of the reviews on the Frog Bra page claimed it will not be coming back.
As a fellow runner, I relate to this! I wish I had good news for you, unfortunately our beloved Frog Bra will not be coming back. The fabric that makes this bra so special can only be produced on one unique loom, and that loom is no longer in service. We have tried many times but have no way to recreate this fabric any other way. I am personally a DD cup and am currently running in the Invincible Sports bra, as well as the Tech Athena Sports Bra I hope this helps!
Response from a Staff Member Tite Nine
Although, the message on the produc description says:
We know the Frog Bra is loved and missed by fans and we encourage seekers to try one of the above styles. While the Frog Bra will unfortunately not be returning at this time, we continue our quest for the right materials to bring it back.
Frog Bra Page from T9
It seems the message is just a text they forgot to edit. If the Frog Bra comes back many women will be happy.
In fact some fan claim, they can trade a kidney for it to come back or run a gofundme.
Why was the Frog Bra discontinued?
The unique loom on which the Frog Bra’s fabric was produced is no longer in service.
What other Bras does T9 recommend?
1. Goldilocked Strappy Sports Bra
2. Pockito Power Sports Bra
3. Goldilocked and Loaded Pocket Sports Bra
What do we Suggest (Underworks.com)?
This bra from Underworks.com seem to be made with the exact fabric the Frog bra was made of. And of course, it is available.
In fact, it sells for $34.99 about $4 from the price T9’s frog bras used to sell.
Here is what one of the reviewers of the bra has to say.
For those who miss that long-forgotten Frog Bra, or for those looking to flatten chest appearance without fainting and going completely broke, this may be useful. For my body (skinny with C-cups) it’s got highly effective compression without making me feel I’m asphyxiating (as it doesn’t compress the lower or middle ribcage.) Also it’s soft cottony comfy, and doesn’t span across the shoulder blades, so I’m not doing “the hunch”. Product is in Underworks’ women’s section (grumble grumble gendered undergarments grumble) but it’s cheaper than the average binder.

Another user of the same bra says:
This binder is pretty much exactly the same as a Frog Bra, if anyone ever had one of those. I’ll be using this for when I work out, but not as an every day binder. I’m a 40D and got the appropriate size.
Pros:
+Easy to breathe
+binds decently without being too tight
+not too hotCons:
+causes uniboob like every other sports bra
Source: Review from Mitchel at Underworks.com
+cuts into armpit area
+looks like a bra under a t-shirt
In fact, a user of T9’s Frog Bra (Gina Donato) mentioned to T9 that she purchased the bra and it’s exactly the same as theirs.
Based on these, we think the Extreme MagiCotton Sports and Binding Bra is a good replacement for the Frog Bra. You can try it out.
Is the End of the Frog Bra the end of your comfort?
No!
The Frog Bra may be gone but that doesn’t mean you cannot find a perfect match replacement. You can still have the comfort and agility that the Frog bra used to provide. You can try out our recommendation or T9’s recommendation. If all those don’t work for you, you can go a step further to check these bras. Things only get better, we are sure there is a perfect bra out there for you.
We hope that you find it soon.
Thank you for reading this far.
